Does What It Is Supposed To Do
Recently, I obtained a brand new in the box Public Defender SS with a two inch barrel. I don’t believe Taurus makes the two inch but two and half or three inch. I wanted this thing for one purpose and that was a high power, short range protection gun. I have read where some folks hunt with theirs and I guess that is a challenge. I took this to the range and fired at a target at ten feet and at twenty feet. Firing 45 LC was right on and using #4 shot at that distance was pretty efficient. Much beyond that distance, I wouldn’t know but for my intended purpose, This gun functions quite well. I guess the folks with the longer barrel versions can reach further out more accurately than this model will but I have other weapons for that. This is a great Belly Gun though.
